Craig Joseph Leff, Esq., handles all criminal cases, immigration, and civil litigation. Craig J. Leff has dedicated the past 23 + years defending those accused of crimes and has personally handled thousands of criminal cases. Mr. Leff is experienced in handling all State and Federal misdemeanor and felony cases including DUI defense, DUI murder, domestic violence, theft crimes, white collar crimes, drug crimes, probation violations, violent crimes, sex cases, strike cases, murder, and RICO.

In addition to his private defense practice, Mr. Leff has served as a Criminal Justice Act (CJA) appointed attorney for both the Central and Southern District of California and currently serves as an appointed Office of Appointed Counsel (OAC) attorney for the County of San Diego. Mr. Leff has obtained a number of successful results for many of his clients, including case dismissals, not guilty verdicts, reduced charges, and favorable plea bargains.

In addition to Mr. Leff’s criminal cases, Mr. Leff practices Immigration law. Mr. Leff has represented clients in removal proceedings, family based immigration efforts, employment-based visa applications, and investment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas. More specifically, Mr. Leff has filed family-based (marriage, fiancé, I-751), employment-based (H-1B, H-3, TN, R-1, L-1, PERM, EB1C), and investment-based petitions (E-2), as well as naturalization, DACA, F-1 reinstatement, visas based on extraordinary abilities (O-1, NIW and EB-1A), and I-360 Victim of Violence Visas (VAWA). Mr. Leff also deals with complex motions to reopen as well as I-601A, 601, and 212 waivers.  He has practiced Immigration law in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida and New York.

Mr. Leff received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State College of Law where he focused on criminal law, trial advocacy, and litigation. Mr. Leff is admitted to practice in California and multiple Federal District Courts and is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, California Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association.
